Welcome to LingWrite (“the Software”, “we”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. Service Description
LingWrite is an AI-assisted long-form writing workspace with project management, structured settings, chapter writing, and export. The Software is provided “as is” and may change without prior notice.
2. Accounts and Subscriptions
- Distributed via the Apple App Store; no separate developer account required
- New users receive a 2-day full-feature trial (as described in-app); after the trial, AI features require an active subscription
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple; pricing, renewal, and cancellation follow App Store and Apple Media Services Terms
- Restore Purchases on iPhone, iPad, and Mac with the same Apple ID
3. User Content and Compliance
You are solely responsible for content you create, store, or export (“User Content”).
You agree that User Content:
- Complies with applicable laws and platform rules where you publish
- Will not be used to create or assist prohibited material (e.g. illegal pornography, violence, terrorism, or other unlawful content)
- Is based on materials you have the legal right to use
- Is reviewed by you before publication; AI output is not guaranteed accurate and legal liability for published content rests with you
4. AI Features
- AI depends on third-party providers you configure; we make no warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose
- AI requests may be sent to your configured providers; see our Privacy Policy
- You must not abuse AI for scraping, spam generation, model attacks, or violating provider terms
5. License
We grant a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license for lawful creative use.
You may not:
- Crack, reverse engineer, or decompile the Software (except where law permits)
- Resell, rent, or sublicense the Software or subscription benefits
- Use the Software for unlawful purposes or to disrupt the service
6. Intellectual Property
The Software’s UI, code, documentation, and “LingWrite” / “灵文” marks belong to the developer. You retain rights in your User Content.
7. Data and Backups
Back up your work. We are not liable for loss due to device failure, sync issues, user error, or third-party outages.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee publishing, signing, or revenue outcomes
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages beyond fees you paid for the Software (if any)
9. Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may restrict AI access if you violate these Terms. Subscription termination and refunds follow Apple’s policies.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms or the Privacy Policy. Continued use constitutes acceptance; material changes may require reconfirmation in the App.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules). Disputes shall be resolved in courts with jurisdiction where the developer is located, after good-faith negotiation.
