Help & detailed guide

Step-by-step reference for RemindMe Ai+ on Mac and iOS. In-app “?” shows rules and examples; wording stays consistent across platforms.

First launch & permissions

Reminders only work if the system can notify you.

When the system asks, allow Notifications for RemindMe Ai+. On iOS, check Settings → Notifications → RemindMe Ai+. On Mac, check System Settings → Notifications.

On macOS, a global shortcut needs Accessibility / Input Monitoring (name varies by OS version). Grant access under System Settings → Privacy & Security, then restart the app if prompted.

  • If alerts are silent, verify Focus modes, Scheduled Summary, and per-app notification style.
  • If the shortcut does nothing, re-check the hotkey in RemindMe Ai+ settings and confirm Input Monitoring is enabled for RemindMe Ai+.

macOS: menu bar & Quick Add

RemindMe Ai+ lives in the menu bar for lightweight access. Click the icon to open the main window; use Quick Add (or your global shortcut) to capture a thought without leaving your current app.

Set a global shortcut

Open RemindMe Ai+ Settings → Hotkey (or equivalent). Choose a combination that does not conflict with other apps. Test it from Safari or another app to confirm it always opens Quick Add.

Quick Add workflow

Type one line: time, kind of reminder, and the message. You can adjust parsed fields before saving. Use the title-bar “?” for full syntax and bilingual examples.

Natural language cheat sheet

The app understands rich Chinese and English phrasing. Below are patterns; exact wording can vary—see in-app help for the authoritative list.

  • Relative time: “in 20 minutes call back”, “半小时后喝水”.
  • Absolute time: “tomorrow 9am standup”, “明天下午3点交稿”.
  • Repeats: “every weekday 9am”, “每天早上10点护眼”, “每月1号”.
  • Importance: include words like “important” / “重要” where supported, for stronger handling on Premium or system integration (see in-app).

Managing reminders

From the main list you can complete, snooze, or edit items. Repeating reminders follow the rule you set until you change or delete them.

  • Early notification: where available, configure a lead time so you are not surprised at the last second.
  • Apple Reminders: optional mirror to the system Reminders list (same Apple ID) when you enable it in settings.

Premium: AI-assisted parsing

Premium lets you connect a supported AI provider with your own API key. Keys are stored in the system Keychain. Parsing requests go to the provider you configure—not through parsing servers we operate.

  • Modes: local-only parsing, optional AI on demand, or AI-first when saving—choose what fits your privacy comfort.
  • Batch flow: when multiple interpretations appear, review each line before confirming.
  • Read your provider’s privacy policy: content you send for parsing is subject to their terms.

Premium: iCloud sync across devices

After purchasing Premium, enable iCloud in RemindMe Ai+ on each device. Data syncs under your Apple ID via Apple’s iCloud; ensure you are signed into the same iCloud account and that iCloud Drive/system services are healthy.

  • If a device lags behind, toggle iCloud off/on in RemindMe Ai+ after confirming network connectivity.
  • Sync scope is described in-app; some system-mirrored data follows Apple’s Reminders rules.

iOS: dictation, widgets & Watch

Use the system keyboard microphone to dictate into Quick Add when hands are busy. You can review text before saving.

  • Widgets: add a RemindMe Ai+ widget to see what’s next at a glance (layout depends on iOS version).
  • Apple Watch: tune how alerts reach your wrist in RemindMe Ai+ settings; haptics help when the phone is away.
  • Live Activities: availability follows the OS—see in-app notes if the feature is offered on your version.

Critical reminders & system alarms (iOS)

On supported iOS versions, you may pair critical items with system alarms so they are harder to miss in Silence or Focus. You must enable this in RemindMe Ai+ and grant any system permissions the OS requests. Capabilities depend on your device and iOS version.

Troubleshooting

No notification at the scheduled time

  • Confirm Notifications are allowed and not muted by Focus.
  • Check that the reminder is not completed and that the scheduled time/time zone is correct.
  • On Mac, ensure RemindMe Ai+ is allowed to run in the background (not force-quit before the fire time).

Shortcut or Quick Add issues (Mac)

  • Re-record the shortcut; avoid conflicts with system or IDE shortcuts.
  • Re-enable Input Monitoring / Accessibility for RemindMe Ai+, then quit and reopen the app.

AI errors (Premium)

  • Verify API key, quota, and network reachability to your provider.
  • Temporarily switch to local-only parsing to keep working offline.
